Šlakhamr, Hamry nad Sázavou

We present you a medieval hammer mill - a mechanical forge, which had the task of processing iron ore mined in the area.

INFORMATION: In 2011, the Technical Museum in Brno opened an exhibition dedicated to the hammer industry, woodworking and housing under the last owners. The core of the exposition is a fully functional hammering machine, obtained from the náreda hammer in Podhůří u Nepomuku, which is used by blacksmiths during special events.
