The story of ZON lemonade from Trebic

The history of ZON began in 1879. Ferdinand Kubeš, a native of Trebic, was one of the first in Central Europe to produce lemonade as an anti-thirst drink.

At that time the company was founded under the name "Factory for soda water, sparkling lemonades and fruit juices, Ferdinand Kubeš, Trebic". In 1901, a trademark in the shape of a star with the initials FK 1879 was registered, which is still used to mark the products today.

In 1927, the company registered the word mark ZON, which stands for Health Refreshing Drinks. In this year, the characteristic ZON-type third-ounce bottles began to be used, which the company still uses today.

After the Second World War, ZONka was nationalised and became part of the state-owned enterprises. After the revolution, the company returned to private hands and is still owned by the Kubiš family today.
