Participation in the meeting APA & COOPERATION WITH REGIONS
On 29 November 2023, a meeting of representatives of regional film offices and regional governments with producers and other audiovisual industry players took place in the beautiful surroundings of the Mama Shelter Prague hotel. The meeting was organized under the auspices of the Association of Producers in Audiovisual (APA) and the Czech Film Commission (CFC) and aimed to strengthen cooperation between regions and filmmakers, present the possibilities and advantages of filming in individual regions and discuss the current challenges and needs of the audiovisual sector.
The programme of the meeting included two discussion panels on the importance of regional film offices for the development of the audiovisual industry and on the possibilities of financing and supporting film projects in the regions.
Vysočina Film Office met with director Josef Císařovský and producer Aleš Hudský, who are working together on a new documentary. We won't reveal what the documentary will be about yet, but we can tell you that it concerns a poet of Czech culture who was born and died in Vysočina.
The meeting between the Czech film offices and the producers was very successful and beneficial for all involved. It allowed to establish new contacts, exchange experiences, learn about new opportunities and inspirations and strengthen cooperation between regions and filmmakers. We hope that this meeting will continue and that it will contribute to the further development and quality of audiovisual production in the Czech Republic.
