A polling station, where a bored electoral commission sits for two weekend days, serves as a base for human characters, their desires and lost loves. A depressed girl (Theodora Remundová) who has just fallen "badly" in love with her professor, a life-worn but still hopeful chairwoman of the commission (Holubová), a cutely shy businessman (Vladimír Javorský), all have their own deep-seated problems that they keep secret.
