Andělská tvář

Drama / Romantic

Czech Republic, 2001, 118 min

France, mid-19th century. Church bells are ringing the alarm, a monastery is burning. In the confusion that ensues, a random rider spots a girl in a first-floor window. The fire cuts her off and she jumps into the offered arms without hesitation. She doesn't even know the face of her rescuer. Scenes from the film were also shot at the castle in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou. The main roles were played by Michaela Kuklová alongside the film's half-brothers Filip Blažek and Jiří Pomeje. The romantic drama was filmed not only in the interiors of the castle, but also in the French-style castle gardens. The interiors of the chateau can be seen, for example, in the scenes when Charlotte is arraigned in court, accused of intrigue and murder.
